Paris Family Accommodations

Updated: 2 days ago

I am excited to share this list of FAMILY FRIENDLY PARIS ACCOMMODATIONS, crowd sourced from tons of other families visiting Paris!

These are all places that either come up fairly often with other families who I have worked with OR were recommended by families online.  All of these can accommodate families and some larger groups, and I included the comments from the person who recommended them!

If you have a place you discover and end up loving, feel free to share with me to help other families in the future!

Paris Perfect apts - "Great for families looking for something higher quality than Airbnb (they lean luxury) but want to avoid higher hotel pricing."

Pepper and Paper Apts - I've had lots of families stay here and love them.

Edgar Suites Marais - Up to 3 bedrooms.

Plum Guide Apts - always beautiful! For instance, this one.

My Maison - several locations, like this one ; "we just spent a week at the Invalides location and it could not have been more perfect for our family (2 kids ages 4 & 7)! Great location and plenty of space! great rooftop view"

Paris Suites - Multiple bedrooms, here is a discount code : SUPERGUEST !

Hotels

The Westin - "connecting rooms available; very friendly/ very “American “ style breakfast and staff super helpful on reservations transportation ect. Location is central and the metro near by."

Hyatt Paris Madeleine - "We loved it, the room was a nice size, had beautiful windows to open and look out, and was in a great location. It was our anniversary and they surprised us and our kids with a dessert and candies upon our arrival. There is also complimentary madeleines always by check in and my kids loved them after traveling a long way."

Park Hyatt Paris Vendome - "can book using points, Eiffel Tower views"

Hotel Regina Louvre - large family suites, central location

Hotel Saint Germain - "great location - easy to get to the metro and the family suite was perfect. It was spacious - 2 smaller connecting rooms and you could keep the door open between them. The larger room was a king bed and a pullout so it could accommodate 3. The smaller room was two twin sized beds. The staff is so lovely."

Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg - "Location was amazing for exploring! When researching accommodations, finding a hotel for 5 felt impossible- until I stumbled upon this suite that sleeps 6–1 queen bed with bath, 1 sleeper sofa and 1 king with another bath."

Signature Saint Germain - "great location, quiet, excellent service and we had the family room which was 2 rooms connected, one with a double bed and the other one with 2 single."

Hotel Des Grands Boulevards - "They’ve got a handful of connecting rooms and triples and are the most lovely, kind humans! And the rooms are just precious!"

Hotel Malte Astotel - "Has complimentary breakfast for kids and the cutest play area; And they also have free snacks all day!" This is part of a network of several hotels in Paris, and you can have access to all the common spaces throughout Paris including their snack bar! Great for breaks as you wander Paris!

Astoria Astotel  - "2x with a toddler. Easy, affordable, good area for us near metro, groceries. Kind staff."

Hotel George Astotel - For a family of 3

Mariott Gare de Lyon - great breakfast

Hotel France Albion - "Really fantastic location right around the corner from Rue des Martyrs, they have a family room (BOOK EARLY!) with two connected rooms with twin beds in one and a double in the other, plus some quintessential Paris rooftop views from the Juliet balcony. Breakfast is in a very charming former wine cave and they always have snacks/drinks for kids at the front desk."

Renaissance Hotel - "By the arc de Triomphe and it was ok but the breakfast buffet was 100%. The rooms are spacious enough for families as well. Highly recommend folks become Bonvoy members to get the breakfast for free. The hotel location is also very good and close to a metro station"

Hotel Atmospheres - "In the Latin quarter - booked with Chase Sapphire points"

Hotel Niel - "3 person and 1 or 2 larger family rooms. It was safe and clean. They offer a breakfast but we never used it. The AC worked well. It was close to the Arc du Triomphe but tucked back in a more residential area. I liked that because when we ate near there, we were eating with mostly locals and they weren’t restaurants catering to tourists."

Star Champs Elysées - "We have three kids and they were able to accommodate us in two adjoining rooms. The hotel was very clean, staff was lovely, and it had a great location."

Hotel Louvre Piemont - "I am considering again for this summer. Nothing extra about it, but clean, updated, quiet even though we had a room facing the street, breakfast included, and very well located to see Paris Main Attractions. We have stayed in Paris 3 times and always around the same area. The girls had a sofa bed, but it was comfy enough for a 7/9 yr old. Our bed was comfortable as well."

Hôtel Vacances Bleues Villa Modigliani - "We stayed in Montparnasse, close to the Gare and the hotel was great. It has bunk beds, friendly staff and the location was excellent for getting around Paris. It was also very reasonably priced."

Le Relais Montmartre - "Friendly staff, mix of old and new interiors in the rooms, great location to cafes, small grocery store, walking tour, etc… It didn’t have bell service to help with luggage but we’re great about late arrivals and early meaning. Nice breakfast in the basement"

Hotel Rochechouart - just south of Montmartre, "We had a suite with a day bed and cot for our kids. Breakfast was good, staff were very friendly and welcoming of the kids, and location was excellent. Cost was ok as well"

Melia La Defense - "Worth adding for any families who might also have mobility challenges/ be traveling with a wheelchair like we were. Melia La Défense was a wonderful accommodation for this specific purpose. They have accessible family hotel rooms and the metro station right by the hotel is one that has an elevator! There is also a bus stop very close by as well. The staff at the hotel were helpful with wheelchair access and providing information about how to access places throughout Paris (which can be really complex with a wheelchair!)."

Pullman Montparnasse - "We just stayed at the Pullman montparnasse with an almost 4 and 7 year old and it was lovely!"

Budget Friendly

Ibis : "What we loved about the Ibis were games in the lobby, location and the price range. At Ledru Rollin, we could have had a connecting room if we had been a bigger group."

Citadines Les Halles - "staff was lovely, nice rooms, great location"

Novotel Les Halles - "It was a great location, really clean and felt like a really safe neighbourhood. It was next to great cafes, a supermarket, shopping mall and decent size playground. The Metro was also right at the front of the hotel. Highly recommend. They give out free Ice cream in the afternoon as well."

Boutique Hotels

Relais Christine - "Good for families with one small child, most rooms have a separate living room"

La Maison Favart - Family suites, or la Petite Maison; "The suite at Maison Favart is perfect for a family of 4! Basically 2 rooms connected with bathroom in the middle. And the service was amazing. Coordinated Easter baskets to be in the room when we arrived. And the breakfast each morning was great."

Hotel Adele & Jules - connecting rooms

Mk2 Hotel Paradiso - connecting rooms, movie theatre in each room

Maison Astor - "The Terrace suite we had with the large balcony and we could see so much of Paris. Up to 4 people, ideally littler kids"

Mob Hotel - "I’ve stayed in Paris a lot of times with the girls as I have family there and that’s by far been my best experience."

Hotel le Derby Alma - "Fam of 4 - Nice, big room with view of Eiffel Tower and short walk to Tower and hop on hop off bus stop!"

Hotel du Levant - "great for our group of 3, 2 adults and an 8 year old. Big room, breakfast included, kind staff and the location was amazing! So close to metro stations that take you anywhere and you can hear the bells of notre dame from your open window. Right by Luxembourg Gardens!"

Luxury Hotels

Le Narcisse Blanc - "We were in a jr suite (2 adults, 6 year old in the day bed and 2 year old in a wonderful crib they provided) and the room was very spacious. It also helped that they had 24/7 room service for hungry jet-lagged kids in the middle of the night, and an indoor pool for them to swim. Big fans!"

La Reserve - "They have a building of apartments that are just AMAZING. Minimum of 1 week stay when we were there."

Bristol - "great amenities for kids"

AirBnbs, VRBO etc

7th arrondissement - "2bed/2bath pied a terre in the 7th!! Best location and felt so safe and cozy."

Saint Germain - "Washer and dryer, elevator, 4 bedrooms, lots of space, sooo much charm, near the Luxembourg gardens and across from a small playground."

Notre Dame - "We just stayed here with 2 kids. We loved that it had 2 separate beds for the kids, shower and tub option, elevator building, big living room and table for dinners. We left and item behind and the owner worked out and easy was to retrieve the item. Also not too far from train and many restaurants and cafes near by"

Montmartre - "It was spacious, beds were super comfortable, owners were helpful and kind, close to the Metro, all in all we had the best time and would stay again."

Marais - 43 Rue Vieille-du-Temple, 75004 Paris; Family of 4; "Overall, the Airbnb was excellent. Location is great and having a washer and dryer and more space than a hotel room was very helpful. One caveat is that there is a tight staircase to get into the apartment, and another in the apartment, so it may not be the best option for a family that would struggle with tight stairs (eg maybe a stroller or impaired mobility)."

Marais - 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms "We stayed here last summer and it offered room to spread out, the kids could play in the courtyard while we cooked dinner, it was easy to walk to public transportation and of course shopping!"

Marais - "This Airbnb was perfect with my family and could have slept more than we had!"

Montmartre - "It’s 3 bedrooms, with a view of the Eiffel Tower from 2 of the bedrooms, in montemarte with a carousel at the end of the street (like 10 storefronts away), jam packed with adorable little cafes/restaurants, the host was able to get me a crib upon request and there were toys! We stayed in this apartment for 6 nights and truly could have just moved in. So so perfect for my family of 4 (kids were 4 and 2 at the time) but we plan to return in a few months with their ages now being 6,4 and there’s a new baby! Wed still fit perfectly as a family of 5. The only con is that it’s on the 6th floor in a no elevator building but that was way less an issue than I originally expected. There’s a space to leave your stroller downstairs, and my 4 and 2 year old climbed the steps every day multiple times a day. Truly the best!"

2nd arrondissement / Rue Montorgueil - "Its GREAT. As I said, its not a great place if you're tall, but has two full bathrooms, a washing machine that we've used every day, a dishwasher (because washing dishes & vacation do not belong together) and two separate bedrooms. We had the two girls upstairs and my mom & I in the basement. You can see the stones in the listing... Arnaud showed us the engraving on one of the stones from the Bastille that said 1791. Such a gem of a place."

Galeries Lafayettes area - 3 bedrooms, central location, Typical Parisian apartment in an old building, spacious, bright and fully equipped.

17th / Parc Monceau - Family with 3 kids "Loved it and would stay there again. It was so sweet and perfect being next door to Parc Monceau"

Arc de Triomphe - "The Eiffel Tower view was great for the kids and the loft gave us some extra space for down time (there’s a piano and guitar, too)

We were there NYE and could see fireworks out the window, too."

Eiffel Tower area - "This apartment was a great distance from the metro and if you peeked your head out the window you could see the Eiffel Tower. It only had one bathroom but that seemed pretty common in a lot of the apartments. We stayed with our 3 kids. The hosts were very helpful and the place was lovely!"

Eiffel Tower - 2 bedrooms

Eiffel Tower area - "One flight of stairs up to the rental, but the accommodations were amazing. Very spacious, very clean, we had everything we needed. Several great eateries and stores nearby, including a fabulous bakery that we picked up croissants from every morning. Most importantly, it was a 10 min walk to trocadero. We had an early morning photo shoot scheduled so walking there in 10 minutes was great. We loved our stays."

Grands Boulevards - "We loved this location in the city and the apartment itself. Baruck was an amazing host and lives close by. We visited in August, and this apartment had 3 fans available as well as a portable AC unit which really cooled the entire apartment down to be very comfortable! The kids loved it too (ages 8 & 5), it was very comfortable for a family of 4 and well stocked with essentials. He even had a bottle of wine to welcome us :) we would definitely stay there again!"

Galeries Lafayettes - "This was an above garage apartment and it had a loft for the boys, a fold out sofa and a primary bedroom. The neighborhood was adorable and we loved the view from the apartment."

Bastille - "Convenient to Metro, grocery and restaurants, felt very safe. There wasn't much natural light, but we were never in the apartment during the daytime. Worked great for our family of six!"

Pere Lachaise - "12 people! It's not near any of the major sites, so it was quieter. But right in front of the apartment was a metro stop and a grocery store. It was a wonderful spot to stay for our family and we all had plenty of space. Compared to renting that many hotel rooms for all of us, it allowed us to have a kitchen, and all stay in the same spot. 6 adults and 2 kids and plenty of space"
